After my first child was born, I was always on the lookout for safe and clean places where he could play. It was just as important for me to enjoy the outing, so a friendly spot with great coffee and freshly cooked food was a must! This sparked the idea for The Nest. I learned how invaluable those early years are, and we need more locations to treasure those moments before they spread their wings. Our space is designed to be warm and inviting, drawing inspiration from Montessori play methods.

What are Stay & Play Sessions?
Our Stay & Play Sessions are opportunities for children under 4 to explore, learn, and play while parents and caregivers enjoy a relaxing time in our cosy café. These sessions encourage community connections over a great brew.
We run multiple Stay & Play sessions throughout the week to fit your schedule:
- Monday to Friday:
- 9:30 am – 11:15 am
- 11:45 am – 1:30 pm
- 2:30 pm – 4:15 pm
- Saturday:
- 10:00 am – 11:45 am
- 12:15 pm – 2:00 pm
Please note that Saturday sessions may vary depending on private hire availability.
- Sunday:
No regular sessions are held on Sundays, but the space is available for private hire.
Whether you’re joining us during the week or on the weekend, be sure to book your spot in advance!
How much do the sessions cost?
£9.50 for the first child (includes one adult). Additional adults are charged at £2.50 each (up to two adults per child). For more adults, please contact us to check availability. Siblings and additional children over 6 months are charged £6.50 per child. Twins receive a 50% discount.
How long are the play sessions?
Each session lasts for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Can I reserve a table in the café during the session?
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, but additional seating will be available throughout the session.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers in denominations of £10, £20, and £50. You can purchase these at our café or contact us for more information.
What party packages are available for hire?
The Essentials Package (£200): Exclusive 2-hour hire, up to 15 children and 20 adults, birthday crown with age, children’s party food & drinks, music, and play session.
The Celebration Package (£300): Includes all features of Package 1, plus themed balloons, birthday cake, a party game and party bags.
The Deluxe Package (£460): All features of Package 2, plus a large age balloon, and adult food options.
How do I book a Stay & Play session or party hire?
